Weleda Salt Toothpaste

I've been using a name-brand toothpaste my entire life and have never had a cavity...yet, I'm tired of the phoney mint flavor and added sweeteners. Weleda's Salt Toothpaste is natural, effective, and tastes great.

Made out of baking soda, peppermint oil, extracts of various plan bark and roots, and other natural ingredients, Weleda's Salt Toothpaste gives my mouth a fresh, clean feeling. It does an incredible job of cleaning my teeth, too. They actually feel much smoother after I brush with this toothpaste than they ever do when I use my old toothpaste.

That's because the baking soda and sea salt in Weleda's Salt Toothpaste help neutralize plaque acids. So, I don't get plaque buildup on my teeth or gums. This toothpaste also contains organic ratanhia, a plant with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Good for the gums!

Weleda's Salt Toothpaste looks and feels a bit different from my regular toothpaste--it's light rust in color and is grainier so it's less viscous than the average toothpaste--but it works like a charm. I love brushing with this toothpaste because my teeth feel clean instantly. I also appreciate tasting the natural flavors of salt, peppermint (it's quite mild), and baking soda. When I try to use my old toothpaste I can instantly tell that it's artificially sweetened (?) and flavored. Ick.

Like all truly natural products with scientific creds behind them, Weleda's Salt Toothpaste is more expensive than regular toothpaste, but I've often found it on sale (online) for between $2-4 for a 3.3 oz tube. It's also available in travel size tubes.
