Title Nine Vagabond Tee : Footloose and Fancy Tee
Title Nine hit the nail on the head when they named this loose-fitting tee. The edges of the collar and sleeves, as well as the bottom of the top, are left unfinished, which gives the top a much-used look and feel. They use contrast colored material around all the edges of the top, too, that's also unfinished at the ends. The result of this worn-by-design is a nice, lived-in effect with slightly rolled edges, as if the top has frayed from use. Normally, by the time a t-shirt gets a frayed collar the top breaks down and is too delicate to wear or wash. I have an old tank from college, part of my practice gear from my cross-country days, that's achieved such perfect raggedness that it has holes all over the top where the material has simply disintegrated. I can't wear it because it would be immodest and it would fall apart if I stepped into the breeze. I love the thin, soft cotton Title Nine use for the Vagabond top. It feels wonderful against my skin, and because it's lightweight, it breathes well. I also love the roomy fit and slightly scooped neckline. Most of all, I love that I get a worn-in tee that's just at the beginning of its life cycle and that's sustainably produced. Available in eight different colors, sizes S-XL. I normally wear a size L, and found the fit to be true to size in a relaxed cut. The top is slightly longer than most women's tees I test, which I like. Eco Creds: Made out of organic cotton. Bottom Line: A sweet, baggy tee that's perfect for bumming around in and looks sweet with jeans or a skirt.--E.D. (May '10) BUY ONLINE : $43 Manufacturer's Site: www.titlenine.com |
