Smartwool Sanitas Skirt: Perfect Fit and Style

Over the years, I've wear tested many, many Smartwool items, including long johns, tops, tanks, socks, and even underwear. Now I've found my all-time favorite Smartwool garment (so far): the Sanitas Skirt.

I love everything about this midweight merino wool skirt. Smartwool has really stepped up the fashion quotient with this sassy, elegant, easy-wear, easy-care, slimming, form-flattering, simple, stunning, packable, casual, dressy, fun, flirty garment that should be a staple in every woman's fall and winter wardrobe.

The skirt comes in dark gray (it's like a slate color that goes very well with blues, purples, black -- and really every other color I've mixed it with) and black. That's how it should be. Classy, basic colors that can be dressed up or down. Add to this an A-line cut an elastic waistband, and I've got a versatile skirt that is ultra comfortable. I can wear it low on my hips because that's how I like to do it. Other women can wear it at their waists. It fits all of us.

The Sanitas has wonderful lines. The skirt is constructed out of front and back panels, two side panels, and an extra V-shaped panel on the left side of the skirt that leads the eye to an asymmetrical notch at the hem. This little details makes the skirt. Period.

Of course, if you've read any of my reviews before, you know the benefits of wearing wool, but I'll repeat them here for newbies: the material wicks and breathes, so I stay just the right temp no matter the weather; wool is naturally odor-resistant, so I almost never have to wash my Sanitas skirt; when I do wash it (only once since I've had it), it dries quickly.

Not right now--because I've very, very business--but later, after my deadline, I will be out on the streets of the city in my Sanitas and my cool black motorcycle boots. Women will love the look, men will want to be my boyfriend, and children will simply smile in awe.
