Smartwool Hide & Seek Socks

A few years ago I dumped out all of my sock drawers (so I have A LOT of socks!) so I could find my "ped" style socks and throw them away. I was sick of every single flimsy one of them! It wasn't worth the sockless look and avoiding blisters to wear little peds that slid off the back of my heel with every step. So, I quit them all! I lived with the blisters.

When I found out that Smartwool makes Hide & Seek mini socks, I decided to give them a try. I am very happy to report that my feet are now in very good hands, er socks!

My Hide & Seek socks fit great, with defined heel cups, sturdy elastic around the openings, and top-of-toe seams that are so flat I never feel them. I'm really loving the sock-free look; I'm vain enough to say that I have cute, thin ankles.

I also love that these socks don't slip around when I walk. They're high enough around the back of my heel to prevent blisters. They're also pretty tough--I wear them for several days in a row before washing them. I can do that because merino wool fibers are naturally odor-resistant and bounce back from use quickly. My Hide & Seek socks also do a great job of breathing and wicking away moisture. (54% merino, 25% nylon spandex).

My Hide & Seek socks are perfect for casual shoes and some of my dress shoes. Smartwool also makes a lower-cut sock, the Hide and Sleek, for dress shoes.
