Simple Underlay Slippers : You Won't Want to Take Them Off

When I first took my Simple Underlay Slippers out of the 100% post-consumer waste cardboard box, I was a little sad to realize that they were just for wearing at home.   They are so attractive and the colors of the boiled wool are so rich, I wished they were shoes, not slippers.

The felted wool uppers are made out of two layers of material. The top layer has diamond-shaped cutouts that reveal the color of the bottom layer of sustainable wool. This bottom layer also forms the trim edge of the slipper. These design features and the bold colors give the Underlay Slippers an element of fun and style (I've seen too many felted wool slippers out there that look like hobbit shoes).

I love these sweet sustainable slippers, and they're surprisingly soft. No need for socks. The Underlay Slipper fits like a glove.  These are not sloppy house shoes.  There is no flip or flop when I walk around in these beauties.  The close, comfortable fit, along with the slightly sticky soles, make me forget that I'm wearing slippers. I often wear them to take my dog on his night-night walk, and can walk at a strong, quick pace without losing my footing or my footwear.  I've also been wearing them to the store. It's just too hard to take them off.
