Simple Toematillo Hemp Boots : Stride Sustainably

Recently, friends and I were having a discussion about how capitalism affects religion, and without boring you with the details of this long discussion, I will take you right to the conclusion that we all agreed upon.

Today, in the western world, there are a growing number of people who consider themselves spiritual, and they demonstrate it through their lifestyles- chiefly through shopping, transportation, and eating. Turns out, there is a term for these people--LOHAS--Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability. And, funnily enough, I discovered I'm one of those people. I try to buy all my food locally (much easier in rural, mountainous Colorado than you might expect), I try not to   drive too much, and my personal care products and clothing tend to be made of cruelty-free and sustainable materials.  

So, It's no suprise that Simple's Toematillo boots found their way onto my feet and into my heart. The upper boot part is made of help and has a soft a cushy organic cotton fleece.   The insoles are made of 100% post-consumer paper products and have little massaging dots. They also offer great support and have yet to hold any odor. The soles are made of recycled tires, with a bamboo heel and a laytex and cork top sole. The combination of materials creates an eco-freaks sustainable yet fun footwear. The boots have adorable coconut button closures on the outside of the ankle that add lots of style with stylish details like contrast stitching and stretchy pull tabs.  

One of the best things about these boots is that they are made with water based cements and as feet are able to absorb, it's nice to know that my feet arent absorbing nasty glue fumes.
