Simple Men's Suede Ecos Shoe : Green Street

You can never have too many kick-around-town shoes, especially when they're made out of sustainable materials.

Simple's laid-back Ecos sneaker is available in hemp and in suede. Naturally, I have both. I wear my hemp shoes most days and save my suede sneaks for special days, like Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

They're ideal with pants or shorts (and just because they're for men doesn't mean I can't wear them, too -- with skirts). The dark brown suede has a rich tone and a super soft feel. I like the rugged rubber edging - made out of strips of recycled mountain bike tires -- and the smooth, recycled car tire sole. The laces are made out of recycled plastic, and the lining is organic cotton. All super eco details that I appreciate.

Most of all, I enjoy the simple design and casual fit. The shoes are roomy enough that I can use my full-length custom insole and still have room at the toes.
