SIGG Aluminum Boxes : Perfect Packing

I have never been an organized person, partly because I haven't had the gear to put things, like sandwiches, in their proper place. Also because I'm always running late.

So, on most of my hikes or outings, I end up with Lara bar in one pocket, a banana in the outermost zip pocket of my daypack, and a peanut butter sandwich wrapped in an old bread bag stuffed into another pocket. By the time I'm ready for my snack, my banana is brown, bruised, and not something I want to eat, and my sandwich is crumpled and torn.

Now that I have a few SIGG Aluminum Lunch Boxes, I not only take the time to prepare my meals - they look great by the time I'm ready to eat them. My Mini box easily holds a sandwich and a piece fruit. For picnics, I load up my Maxi boxes with salads of all types: pasta, vegetable, fruit.

These lightweight boxes make is so easy to eat well on the go. The lids have a rubber seal, so I don't have to worry about leaks (especially when I carry them in my Mountainsmith Deluxe Cooler Cube). I wouldn't carry soup in them--they're not watertight--but I do have many options: sushi, burritos, gyros, salsa and chips...

So, every time I use one of these boxes I'm NOT using plastic sandwich bags, tinfoil, or paper bags. That makes me feel good. These boxes are very durable - but even if the hinges should break some day way in the future, I could still use them and seal the lids with giant rubber bands...or I could use the tins as storage containers in my office. And then some day, my kids could recycle them and they'll be made into a new product.
