Seventh Generation Free & Clear Natural Dish Liquid : Safe, Effective, Scent-Free

My kitchen is not a pretty place. I have a bad habit of leaving dirty dishes to pile up for days that turn into weeks. Things sometimes actually grow on my plates!

I know it's disgusting, but I never seem to stick with my new year resolutions to keep my kitchen clean. Now that I've switched to Seventh Generation's Free & Clear Natural Dish Liquid, I'm much more likely to keep my dishes washed. Why? One key reason is that Seventh Generation's Free & Clear line of home products do not contain fragrances or toxic chemicals. So, I don't have to wear a mask when I do the dishes (all the name brand dish soaps are so loaded with chemical fragrances that they make me gag and they irritate my skin).

With my natural dish liquid, it's become pretty simple. Wash, leave item in drying rack, repeat. I'm impressed by the cleaning power of this clear liquid. I can fill my washing basin with water, and clean several plates, glasses, and pots before I need to change the water.

Sometimes, I just squirt a bit of the liquid on a sponge and quickly wash a few glasses or plates when I don't want to spend the time (or use the water) to fill up the basin. Whatever method I use, the liquid produces plenty of sudsy water and doesn't dissolve or dissipate if I go answer the phone and forget to come back to the kitchen after an hour. I just add a bit of hot water and start where I left off.

I also like this liquid because it cleans very well and still rinses off very quickly. It doesn't matter what I wash - my salad plate, the salmon platter, the sticky tea cup I had honey in -- this liquid breaks it all down and I wipe it away. Once dry, I've noticed that my dishes never have a filmy or greasy residue. I like that.

Eco Creds: made out of a plant-derived cleaning agent that is biodegradable, non-toxic, not tested on animals, ph neutral, non-irritating, and hypoallergenic.

Bottom Line: For the eco and health benefits alone, this product is worth buying. The fact that's it's also totally effect makes my day. Pricewise-there's no reason not to switch from chemical-laden kitchen dish soap.--E.D. (Aug 09)
