Serenity Pillows Rejuvenation Pillow : Sweet Dreams

I've always hated my pillows. They're always too fluffy or too thin. Then I try to use two pillows to prop up my head, and together, they're too high. Down? I hate down pillows. There's no support. Plus, I'm allergic to feathers. And don't get me started on dust mites...

Anyway, I'm over all that now because I've found the pillow of my dreams--the Rejuvenation Pillow by Serenity Pillows. It's the perfect thickness, it provides excellent support, it's made out of healthy, natural materials, and I love it. The first night I slept on it, I felt like my head was nestled into a custom-made sleeping cradle.

The next morning, I was surprised to wake up in the same position I'd fallen asleep in. I have always, even as a small child, been a night thrasher. I can't ever get comfortable, I toss and turn all night, and I wake up with sheets and blankets tossed about the bed and on the floor. I was also surprised that morning that my neck and back weren't throbbing in pain. For most of my life, morning has meant back pain. A big-gulp sized mug of chai and a few hours of writing later, I'd forgotten all about my excellent new pillow.

That evening, the same thing happened. I immediately found a comfortable position, fell asleep quickly, and woke up with my sheets and comforter still wrapped around me, barely ruffled. Again, no pain. I was sold.

So, what makes this magic pillow such a dream? First, it's shell is made out of organic cotton. The top of the pillow is filled with wool, and the bottom half of the pillow is filled with buckwheat hulls. Sounds like it might make for a crunchy night, but this is the most relaxing pillow I've ever had. The hulls give me amazing support; the wool layer is both soft and supportive. It also muffles the sound of the hulls--which don't make a sound because I no longer toss and turn in my sleep.

I'm not one to buy into fads or believe in miracle cures, but this pillow has noticeably improved my sleep, and, by giving me a restful night's sleep, improved my health by reducing my chronic morning back and neck pain. I'm also pretty sure the pillow is a big turn off to dust mites, so that's an added bonus for my sinuses.

What I like about Serenity Pillows is that they design pillows for the way you sleep. For example, I almost always sleep on my side, so I tested a side-sleeping pillow. They also make pillows for people who sleep on their backs, on their stomachs, and all over the place.
