Second Denim Eco Jeans : Style, Versatility, and Super Stretch
it's not easy for a denim company to impress me; I'm fairly particular about my jeans. So I was surprised that I fell in love so quickly with Second Denim Company's ECO 0685 jeans. These slim-styled jeans look fabulous, fit like a glove, and are made out of soft organic cotton. I love the washed out navy fabric--it's unlike any other denim I've seen before. It's also very lightweight and, thanks to its three percent lycra content, incredibly stretchy.
I usually don't like jeans with lycra because I prefer a slightly baggy "boyfriend" fit, but I gladly make an exception for Second Denim Company's jeans. They hug my bum and thighs, but don't feel or look tight. They're so stretchy that I can do high karate kicks if I want to, or run for my life if I need to, and my pants move with me. It's fabulous. I feel like I can do anything in these jeans. Suddenly, I have a pair of jeans that I can comfortably wear for hours--while working, while sitting on an airplane, while driving around for errands, while out for a night of dancing. The day they arrived I tried them on and then went for an hour-long power walk with a friend. They felt GREAT! I didn't take them off for four days except when I went to bed.
I also love that the ECO 0685 jeans are nice and simple. Too many denim companies try to do fancy things with the pockets or add ornamental stitchery or rivets--and their jeans look fussy. Denim should speak for itself through clean lines, gorgeous fabric, and a slim fit. I should explain here that I'm 46 years old and fairly modest about what I wear. I don't wear super tight jeans. I think these jeans would be ideal for women who'd like to try a sleeker style but don't want to look "poured into" their jeans. The mid rise provides generous coverage in front and back (in fact, I wish this pant came in a low-rise style), and the straight cut through the legs balances out the snug fit through the thighs and seat. The ECO 0685 jean has the fit, comfort, and look to be a versatile staple in my denim lineup. I'm so glad I discovered Second Denim! Second Denim Company is based in Montreal, Canada. Click here, or on the link below, to find out where to purchase their jeans. Available in sizes 24-32, and dark and light rinses. I'm usually a size 10 (34-35 length), and a size 29 fits me perfectly. Shorter women will want to have these jeans hemmed. Second Denim also makes a similar jean in a high rise. Bottom Line: I love these jeans. My boyfriend loves them, my friends love them, and now my neighbor wants a pair, too!--E.D. (June 2011) BUY ONLINE : $ Manufacturer's site : www.secondclothing.com
