Sante Eye Shadow Trio

I'm not the best makeup artist for my own face, so when I choose an eye shadow the colors have to look fairly neutral. They also have to be very easy to apply. I have found both of those qualities in the Sante Eye Shadow Trio!

What makes this eye shadow even better is that it's all natural. When you think about it, why wouldn't you want cosmetics that are free from toxic ingredients? Sante eye shadows are made with plant extracts and mineral pigments. That means no synthetic colors, fragrances, preservatives, petrochemicals, or silicone oils.

I've been using Sante's Eye Shadow Trio #3 (called "Rosewood") with great results. The three colors are different shades of warm tones, from pale, to taupe, to darker taupe. Each color has a pink hue to it; they're all very pretty. I have tried mixing all three colors, as well as wearing one color at a time. Either way, the eye shadow is quite striking. The colors are beautiful and go on smoothly; they also blend very well. I don't use a lid primer and still keep my color all day. In the evening, touching up is easy.

I found these colors work well for daily wear. For a more dramatic look for after-work activities, Sante sells an Eye Shadow Trio called "Smoky Eyes," so I can still achieve that sultry look for evening if I want to. The Eye Shadow Trio comes in a small container with a mirror under the lid and includes a small brush. For my needs the brush was fine, but if you prefer a longer handle, you can always use a full-size eye shadow brush. (Trios are available in a variety of shades.)

At only $16, I would definitely buy a couple of the trios for both day and evening use. I was most impressed with how smooth they looked on my lids.
