Sameunderneath Swing Jacket : Classic Style Meets Sustainability

The weather in Seattle has quite a reputation. My friends in California are just sure that it rains 300 days out of the year. That's not usually the case. Still, this Spring has been rainy and quite chilly. So, it’s a good thing that Fancy Green asked me to wear test Sameunderneath's cozy wool Swing Jacket.

This adorable, sassy little jacket is made out of 95 percent lambs wool, with a smidgen of Spandex to give it some stretch. The Swing Jacket is definitely fitted and has a wide standup collar that's designed to be worn buttoned. The pleats and gathers all seem to hit in the right places to give this sweet little cover up a nice drape. The jacket is loosely belted in the back and slightly longer in back than in front - a casual cut that gives me plenty of wardrobe options whether I'm in the mood for jeans or cocktails.

It might seem funny to be talking about a wool jacket in Spring, but I'm a big believer in having a few classically designed staples in my closest that I can turn to any time of the year. I have the black Swing Jacket, and I love it because it's so versatile. (Click on photo at left to see full-size image.)

I can wear it for dressy occasions as part of an outfit or as an elegant cover up. I really appreciate that the Swing Jacket is well made, too. (It's also warm, and wool is great at protecting me from the constant Seattle drizzle.) It's one thing to have a fancy black jacket for weddings and special dinners, it's another to have a quality garment that I can enjoy for years to come.
