Preserve Food Storage : "Nothing Wasted, Nothing Gained"
What a perfect tagline, especially for this specific Preserve product. In case you're new to our site, Preserve is a serious eco company that makes house wares and personal products out of recycled #5 plastic. Number five plastic isn't often recycled by city programs, so Preserve recycles it for us. If you like yogurt, you're probably buying a lot of #5 containers. If you resuse them for storage, good on you. If you don't, take them to a Whole Foods, where they'll collect them and send them to Preserve. Having used Preserve's round storage containers and loved them (especially the bold colors and the screw-top lids), I knew I'd love the square food storage containers, too. They're the perfect size for a sandwich. I use them almost every day, usually for leftovers but also for sliced fruits and vegetables. There's no sense using aluminum foil when there are Preserve containters to keep food fresh. I also love that I can put them in the dishwasher - they come out just fine. I'm completely sold on Preserve products. We can all reduce or stop using sandwich bags and aluminum foil if we use these recylced containers. Some day, when I've used them so much they're not so functional anymore (I can't imagine when that could happen), I can send them back to Preserve to be used again to make another product. Talk about completing the circle. Eco Creds: made out of recycled materials, recycable, made in USA, BPA-free, Bottom Line: If you really want to save the planet, stop using plastic bags and tin foil. Use these recycled, recycable containers instead. They'll keep your food fresher, and your sandwich from getting smooshed.--E.D.
