Prana Dutchman Flannel Shirt : Hard Working, Soft Style

Prana's Dutchman Flannel Shirt is so much nicer than any other flannel shirt I've ever worn.

The first thing I noticed about this shirt is the stylish charcoal grey color and black and white check pattern. It's classic, it's retro, it ain't no lumberjack's shirt. I'm not saying I don't play hard, but I live in the city, so I like to have casual wear in urban colors. The Dutchman's silver-colored buttons are a nice touch, and I like the narrow collar.

Prana's Dutchman Flannel shirt isn't like traditional flannel shirts. The material doesn't feel fuzzy but thick and dense, like a woven blanket. It's also incredibly soft to the touch; it feels cozy and it hangs nicely. My girlfriend, who wears the shirt more often than I do because she's a shirt thief, describes texture of the organic cotton as "buttery." I should also note here that, yes, this shirt feels great, but it's also a hard-working top that can endure a lot of abuse and many washings! (See shopping links below.)

When I get a chance to wear what I now consider my favorite shirt, I wear the Dutchman Flannel Shirt over a t-shirt with jeans, or over a long-sleeved merino to when I go outside in the cold. I've been a fan of Prana's men's shirts for a long time because they always come up with unique patterns. The shirts are also well made and last a long time.
