Point 6 Women's Active Light Cushion Micro Socks : Just Right
How do I know a sock is working for me? Easy. I don't notice it. I don't notice it because it doesn't bunch, it doesn't hold on to moisture, and it doesn't smell because it's made out of merino wool. I've been wearing my Point 6 Women's Active Light Cushion Micro Socks (also available in men's sizes) for a few weeks now, and they've become a top choice when I reach into my sock drawer (or, more likely, grab a pair off my floor). I have a huge variety of shoes for different activities, and naturally, I need socks that work with each pair shoes. With my snug-fitting shoes, I like a thin sock. If that thin sock can be a bit thicker along the bottom, I like that even better. Of course, my Point 6 Micro Sock has that winning combo, and it also has a seamless toe seam, strategically placed stretch panels that hold the sock in place, a well-defined heel cup, and a nice snug ribbing around the top of the sock. As an added comfort bonus, the ribbing has a padded "collar" that protects my skin from rubbing against the inside of the heel. I also like the funky designs running along each side of the sock. Most of all, I like that these merino wool socks are odor resistant. I just returned from a week-long vacation where I did a LOT of walking. I wore my Point 6 Micro Socks for four days, and they still don't smell. The Active Light Cushion Micro is available in black, natural, or silver in sizes from a women's 4 to men's 14.5. Bottom Line: Sometimes thin is in. If you're looking for a low-cut sock that fits well, performs well, and you never have to think about, this is your sock. -- E.D.
