Point 6 Men's Active Light Cushion Micro Socks : Start Me Up

Sometimes I want socks that are thick and cushy.  Other times I want them to be more stripped down and efficient. 

What I always want are socks that are best suited for what I'm doing.  Lately, that's jogging in the mornings while wearing my new Active Light Cushion Micro socks from Point 6.

All Point 6 socks (including mine) are made out of merino wool.  It's an ideal material for socks because it breathes, wicks, and it's naturally odor-resistant. For me it largely boils down to my experience wearing the goods. I tested the men's version, and our editor tested the women's sock.

It's sort of hard to describe, but I get a certain charge when I first put them on.  It's obvious that a lot of thought went into the design.  They seem to be padded, stretchy, thin, and snug all in the right spots.  It adds up to a sock that envelops my foot and hugs every curve in a way that makes me feel energized.

I've been cold, wet, and tired in these socks but the socks were never to blame.  Even when wet they've kept my feet relatively comfortable while the rest of me felt more like a wet cat that's not allowed into the house.  

Performance characteristics aside, merino wool is a renewable and bio-degradable resource.  In many instances one has to look long and hard to find an eco-friendly equivalent.  In the case of merino wool it seems I can have my cake and eat it, too.
