Outdoor Research Sequence Duo Tee : A Classic Tee With A Modern Twist

Some buddies and I had been planning to find the remains of a wilderness cabin that a friend's grandfather helped build in 1946.   The weather forecast was mixed, so I needed to have a flexible wardrobe, and the beginning of a flexible wardrobe is a versatile base layer.   I got my Sequence Duo Tee from Outdoor Research the day before our trip, and knew it would be the shirt to wear.  

I started out in the drizzly pre-dawn darkness with a light jacket over my Sequence Duo Tee but the drizzle soon let up and as the twilight became morning I shed the extra layer. I was really grooving on how comfortable my Sequence Duo Tee was to hike in. It felt like cotton, and had the cut of a regular t-shirt. Really appreciated the raglan sleeves -- no shoulder seams to chafe under my pack straps.

Performance wise, the thin polyester (88%)/wool (12%) blend fabric kept my torso warm while the short sleeves kept me from overheating. I also appreciated that it didn't ride-up under my pack like some performance type shirts will.  

As the day progressed the sun came out but I was already soaked from wet brush. By the early afternoon we found the lake and had located the cabin site.   All that was left in the flat clearing were a bunch of rusty nails and the brass plaque that had once welcomed visitors to the cabin. In the time it took me to eat lunch and string my fishing rod, my shirt was dry and ready for the hike out.  

This is a great all-purpose active top. It comes in sizes S-XXL, and four color combos: Burnt Orange/Espresso, Peat/Black, Artichoke Peat, and Fossil/Espresso.
