One Bath and Body Squeaky Clean Solid Shampoo : Small and Sudsy

Whenever I get my hair cut, the stylist inevitably remarks on the massive amount of hair I have. So it was with some skepticism that I tried One Bath and Body Squeaky Clean Solid Shampoo. How could a small, hard disc of shampoo lather my long locks?

Consider me a convert: The first time I used it on my dirty hair, rich suds immediately covered my whole head. I simply wet the disc in the shower, passed it over my tresses three or four times, and, poof, instant lather.

From an envirogal's standpoint, the solid shampoo can do no harm. Because it's concentrated and condensed, the two-ounce bar should last as long as 24 ounces of liquid shampoo (that's three eight-once bottles). When I use liquid shampoo I usually use a quarter-sized dollop when I wash my hair. I've been using this bar for a month, and I haven't even put a dent in it. What's more, it comes in 100% recyclable cardboard packaging, so that means no plastic.

Also, I recently threw the solid shampoo into my carry-on for a quick trip to visit my sister. There's no worry getting it past security because it's not liquid, and its small size was negligible--letting me worry about how to stuff an extra pair of shoes in my bag instead.
