One Natural Bath Fizzer

Taking a bath at the end of a long day is one of my favorite ways to unwind and relax. I always like to use a bath fizzer or bubble bath product in my bath to add to the experience. I recently tried the One Natural Bath Fizzer, and felt like I had turned by bathroom into a spa.

One Natural Bath Fizzer is available in a variety of scents, iincluding Lemongrass Pick-Me-Up, which I sampled. I simply dropped the fizzer ball into the tub as I was filling it up; it fizzed and dissolved on its own, mixing into the water as the tub filled. I found the lemongrass scent, which filled the room, to be relaxing and not too strong.

I hadn't used a fizzing bath product in a long time, so I was reminded of the differences between bath fizzers and bubble bath products. When you use bubble bath, it covers the water with bubbles and helps keep the temperature of your bath from cooling down, kind of like an insulator. However, it can leave a bubbly ring around the tub. Bath fizzers don’t help insulate the water, so the bath water cools down faster. However, there doesn’t seem to be as much residue around the tub when I'm done. If you like your water to stay hot and don’t mind rinsing the tub, then bubble bath may be your best option, but if you just want a quick bath and don’t have time to rinse the tub when you’re done, the bath fizzer is ideal.

One Bath and Body (the actual name of the company) does an excellent job with their packaging; the entire cardboard package can be recycled and the plastic wrap is biodegradable. This makes One products more attractive to me because I don't like buying items that come in packaging that ends up in landfills. With that said, the actual bath fizzer isn’t as natural as I was hoping for – it contains yellow #5, red #33 and blue #1.

Bottom Line: Since I like soaking in the tub as long as possible, I usually prefer bubble bath over bath fizzers, but if I want a quick bath to help me relax, I will definitely use a One Natural Bath Fizzer again.--N.S. (Feb 2011)
