Nau Trous Her Pant : Mine, All Mine

It never surprises me when I find a piece of Nau apparel that looks great on me, but I still feel lucky that it's happened.

Take my current Nau love, the Trous Her pant. It's got the low-rise cut that I love, but the extra think waist panel makes me feel like I'm getting more coverage than the average low-rise pant. And they look so street. I know that when people see me in my organic cotton twill Trous Her pant they think I must be from New York because I look so good.

I love that the material has enough lycra in it to give me a perfect fit where I need it most....let's just say the entire area above my knees. I get excellent freedom of movement, a trim look, and pants that have enough give in them that they don't hug my body.

Of course, the design makes the Trous Her the ideal urban pant. I like the cut-out front pockets - so much more stylish than the standard rounded pockets on almost every pair of jeans in the world. Same goes for the slanted back pockets and stitched panel across the back of the pant.

Most of all, I love the straight leg -- which is tapered but not skinny, with a v-slit on each outside hem. When I wear these pants with my suede Bluestone boots, that little notch in the seam helps my pant hem look totally at ease.

I should add here than I'm 5'11", and have always had an impossible time finding clothes that fit. Thanks to Nau, I no longer have to buy men's pants and have them tapered so I can get the sleek city look I love.

Bottom Line: I live in these pants. I love them. They will never end up on a garage sale table or at Goodwill or at a clothes-swap party. Nobody is ever getting to wear my Trous Her pants but me.--E.D. (April 09)
