Nau M1 V-Neck Top

When I exercise or go for a hike, my first choice in apparel is merino wool; it’s the original performance fabric.  When I’m living la vida urban, merino wool is still my first choice.  Now, thanks to Nau, I can have all the benefits of this fantastic fiber in a stylish, versatile tee. 

Nau’s M1 V-Neck tee has a generous neckline and a comfortable, baggy fit.  It looks simple, but it has some sweet detailing that make it stand out from ordinary tees. There’s an inset piece of fabric with angled stitching along the neckline.  Nau does an excellent job of using lines like this to give classic styles some movement and energy.  I also like the unfinished edges around the neckline and sleeves; they give the top an unconstructed feel.

The lightweight merino wool fabric is lovely, as I’d expect from Nau, and quite soft. I like the loose fit; it’s a nice change from the more fitted exercise tops I’m used to wearing.  The fabric is kind of drapey, and it hangs very nicely. 

Merino, of course, is naturally odor resistant, and is effective at wicking away sweat and regulating my temperature. When it’s chilly, wool is warm, and when it’s warm, wool breathes well.  I need smart fibers like that here in Seattle’s mood-swinging weather.  These features, and the fact that merino doesn’t really get that wrinkled, make it an ideal travel top.

I can wear it around all day, and if I meet up with a friend for a power walk I don’t need to change clothes.  I can wear the M1 V-Neck tee for four or five days before I need to wash it.  Because the top is quick-drying and machine-washable, I can toss it in the washer at night, or rinse it out in the sink, hang it up to dry, and I’m good to do the next morning.  Love that. 

Most of all, I love that Nau makes clothes that make me feel sleek and sophisticated.
