Nau Courier Skirt : "Speak Softly and Wear a Kick-Ass Skirt"

I love that Nau uses expressions like "Kick-Ass" to describe its products. I also love that their garments are trail tough but styled for the street.

I wore my Courier Skirt almost every day during a recent month-long vacation in hot, humid Minnesota. The stretchy weatherproof fabric (made out of recycled and recyclable micro-fiber polyester) is breathable, stain resistant, and windproof. I definitely noticed the first two features the most. During 90 degree, 90% humidity days, the skirt wicked like crazy. It stayed dry, and so did I. While playing with my friends' two-year-old, I didn't worry about sticky, blueberry hands.

Because the skirt is so effective at moisture management I wore the skirt for days in a row before I felt it needed washing. Whether I tossed it in the washer or washed it by hand, it was always dry the next morning and ready to wear. (Note to self: pack so much lighter next time-all I need is this skirt.)

The Courier Skirt kept me cool, but it looks hot. I love the asymmetrical hem - it gives the skirt an edge and sends out a very clear message that I am an ass kicker, and do not mess with me (but do admire me).

I also love that Nau designed this skirt without a waistband - a design that allows women of all shapes to wear this skirt. For example, the size 8 fit me well, but I wanted a baggier fit so I opted for the size 10. I also wanted to wear the skirt low, around my hips. Since I'm super high waisted, it's more comfortable for me.
