Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Dish Soap (Lemon Verbena) : Cuts Grease With "Just a Squirt or Two"
I have tried several natural liquid dish soaps, and most of them have been disappointing because they weren't thick enough, the suds didn't last very long, and they weren't very good at removing grease. Obviously, those are all of the attributes you depend on in a dish soap. I'm happy to report that I found Mrs Meyers Clean Day Liquid Dish Soap to deliver all of those things. The lemon verbena smell was very pleasant, as well. I first used the dish soap at my cabin where I don't have a dishwasher (or rather, I'm the dish washer). It did a great job of getting my dishes, silverware, and glassware clean, and the suds lasted a long time. I didn't have to keep squirting more dish soap on my sponge as I typically do with the other natural dish soaps I've tried. Then came the real test - cleaning two very greasy cast iron skillets that haven't been washed in a long time. I don't have much patience for domestic chores, so I didn't bother letting them soak. Instead, I attacked them with the sponge and a small squirt of dish soap and started scrubbing. It didn't take long to cut through the grease and in about a minute, both skillets were clean and grease free. My chores were done! Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend this dish soap to anyone who wants to switch to a more natural dish soap that still works just as well as the usual dish soaps found in the cleaning aisle of your grocery store. A little bit seems to go a long way and it smells wonderful!--N.S. (Oct 09) BUY ONLINE : $3.99 ... save 15% at drugstore.com
