Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Countertop Spray (Geranium) : It's Addictive

I've recently made an effort to use up or get rid of strong chemical all-purpose cleaners that you find in the cleaning aisle of the grocery store and replace them with more natural products.

I've also become quite the clean freak in my kitchen and bathroom. Every day I grab an all-purpose spray cleaner and a microfiber rag to quickly spray and clean my counter tops so they're shiny again and free of crumbs, toothpaste overspray, and drips from food and beverages. I recently tried Mrs Meyers Clean Day Countertop Spray to assist me with this task and I must say, I was very pleased.

The first thing I noticed with this product was the smell. I used the Geranium scented countertop spray (it's also available in Basil, Lavender, Lemon Verbena, and Scent-Free -- which our editor will be reviewing soon), and it definitely smells much better than the chemical-laiden cleaners of my past. However, the scent is quite strong and although I have no allergies, I can imagine someone with a sensitive sniffer might want to dilute it with water. The nice thing about this product is that a little bit goes a long way, so I don't have to spray much on my countertops to get clean results from it.

I used it on my black granite counter in the kitchen and found it to clean very well and give the granite a smooth feel again. However, you may need to wipe over it once more with a dry microfiber rag so it doesn't streak. I may have used too much product, but it doesn't take much extra time to go over it once more.

It didn't leave any streaking on the my white bathroom Corian countertop. I also used it on the toilet lid and tank, as well. It definitely makes for a much better smelling toilet! I also tried this product on my leather couch and on some wood furniture, and it cleaned both of them well and left a light sheen, thanks to the natural oils in the product.

Bottom Line: So far, I am pleased with this product, and look forward to using it on more surfaces in the house. It does a good job at cleaning and leaving a nice fragrance. I also find that I keep this spray cleaner sitting out on my counter instead of putting it in the closet because it comes in a nice spray container with a decorative label and it looks "homey" sitting on my kitchen counter.
