Loomstate Revelation Jean : A Denim Revolution

My all-time favorite Loomstate jean is the Flux. I love the straight/skinny leg style, as well as the low, low rise. I also like how the back of the pant comes up a bit higher for more coverage.
The Revelation Jean is for women who want a more tapered leg - a "skinny" leg - and a higher waist. This year's denim style has departed from the Loomstate jeans I reviewed a few years ago. The old Flux had yellow contrast stitching and really unique (still yellow) wide stitching around the pantleg hems. The new Revelation is a super simplififed jean. There are just a few subtle design features - such as turquoise contrast stitching on the inside of the waistband, a small grommet above the left back pocket in the waistband, and a metal "Loomstate" engraved top button.
Before I ever tried on these jeans I noticed an incredible attention to detail. There is not a stitch out of place. The back pockets and above pocket seam are triple stitched, the front pockets are double stitched, and the inseam seams are superbly finished off. My seamstress grandmother would have been impressed.
Naturally, I found the same excellent fit from waistband to the hem. For a snug-fitting "skinny" jean, they didn't feel tight or give me sausage legs. They feel like my old men's 501s used to feel once I had them tapered. How fitting that my new favorite brand of jeans gives me the same comfort as my old favorite jeans.

Bottom Line : I love these well-made, environmentlaly friendly organic jeans. These are definitely every day jeans, and along with my favorite baggy men's tee, half of my new uniform.--E.D. (June 09)
