Loomstate Men's Light As Air Crew Tee : You Won't Want to Take It Off

I pretty much live in tee shirts, and now I want to live in my Loomstate men's "Light As Air" Crew. Love the richness of the slate colored organic cotton, love the contrast with the speckled red/maroon birds of flight. Love the fit. Love the cotton.

A tee isn't just a tee. Loomstate has this extra special way of making tees for men and women. I don't know if I'm about to describe this correctly, so please bear with me... I remember in sewing class that sometimes you cut fabric against the bias so that when you construct the garment, the cut influences how it's shaped, how it hangs. With super soft organic cotton, which is a knit, I don't know how this strategy applies, but it feels like that's what Loomstate does.

The side seams aren't straight so the shirt doesn't just hang - it moves with me and it stretches and works great as a first layer and after washing it pulls together then it gets stretched and pretty soon the side seams are moving again. More to the point, this shirt's just got some motion, and I love that. Asymmetry!

Also, the cotton is so soft. I always wash clothes before I wear them for the first time - but never with Loomstate. This tee is so comfortable. I didn't need to wash it to soften it up. Truth: I've worn it every day since I rec'd it just over a week ago. I've only washed it once because I don't like having to take it off!! But I know from experience that this top will continue to look and feel great for a long time.

The cotton on this top is a bit heavier, though still very lightweight, than the last Loomstate men's tee we featured. I like it a lot. I also like the vertical contrast stitching on the sleeves and hem - signature Loomstate, and it looks like someone took the time to hand sew the hems. Wouldn't that be nice.

This is my favorite tee from Loomstate's Spring 2010 collection; I'm sure it'll fly off the racks. Check their site to see more tees in other colors, with other designs, as well as, to see women's tees.
