Lavera Liquid Concealer : Reveal A Healthy Look

I have dark circles under my eyes ever day, so I was eager to test Lavera's Liquid Concealer.

It's very easy to use. I just dab it on with the soft applicator stick and then pat it around the area under each eye. It lightens that area up considerably and looks even better when I pat on the Lavera Loose Powder. I like that the concealer contains organic jojoba and olive oils; both good for my skin.

I have also used the concealer on a red spot on my chin (a pimple that was healing up) and it helped hide it fairly well. Then, last week, I had another challenge for Lavera's Liquid Concealer when I tripped and fell on my deck. I hit my face and developed a lovely black eye, just in time for our family party that I was hosting!

To cover my black eye, I first applied my usual foundation over my face and then dabbed the concealer around my eye and over the pinkish/purplish discoloration. It went on nice and smooth and wasn't too thick, making it easy to rub in and pat around my eye. When finished, the discoloration looked much lighter and not as unsightly as it did without any coverage. I doubt the concealer is formulated with black eyes in mind, but it definitely helped mine look much better.

Lavera is a German company and most of their packaging is in German. However, they do include an English translation, as well. I was happy to read that most of their ingredients are from certified organic agriculture or natural essential oils, and, of course, their packaging is recyclable. Not that you would want to eat the concealer, but it is labeled "Vegan." It's good to know there's no steak in my concealer!

Bottom Line: What I liked most about the Lavera Liquid Concealer is that it's natural, doesn't feel thick or heavy, and blends very well on it's own or with a foundation or powder. -N.S. (June '10)
