Kiss My Face Olive & Lavender Soap

I love the smell of fresh lavender, but it's hard to find products that aren't overdone. Some companies that try to recreate that lavender smell into a fragrance go too far and end up creating something that smells unnatural and too strong.

Kiss My Face has gotten it right with their olive oil line of bar soaps. Their Olive and Lavender bar soap smells wonderful and very natural. I tried it for the first time this week and not only did it smell good, but it was moisturizing and left my skin feeling soft.

I like using this soap because it's made out of very basic ingredients. In fact, I am familiar with and can pronounce all the ingredients listed on the packaging: olive oil, water, sodium chloride (salt), and lavender. Kiss My Face also lists "fragrance" as an ingredient, but whatever they added as fragrance is not strong or unpleasant. Their representative tells us that their fragrances are derived from natural plant extracts. I wouldn't have guessed that anything additional was added as the soap smells very natural and light. This would be a good soap for sensitive or dry skin because of the natural ingredients and moisturizing properties of the olive oil.

The Olive and Lavender bar soap doesn't produce much lather, but that's because extra ingredients weren't added just for the sake of creating suds.

Lavender is said to promote relaxation, so I have started using this bar soap when I take baths. It creates a soothing scent that calms me, and it keeps my skin soft even after I've rinsed it off. I like the fact that I'm using a soap made out of natural ingredients.
