Keen Harvest II iPad Sleeve : Sleek, Simple Protection

Since I recently spent half of next month's rent on an iPad, I want to keep it scratch-free as long as possible. I've been using a case that covers everything but the screen, but I wanted something more protective to use when I'm in transit. Keen's Harvest II iPad Sleeve is my new favorite accessory.

The first thing that caught my eye about this handy sleeve is its sleek look. It's slim and smooth, like a padded envelope. The material, repurposed neoprene, is soft and squishy; it's also stretchy, making it easy to insert and remove my iPad. All I have to do is slide in my iPad, and pull the top "hood" of the sleeve over the top if it. It fits perfectly.

Because there's no zipper, or snaps, or velcro--I love the simplicity--the Harvest II easily fits into my backpack or tote bag. The sleeve keeps my iPad covered, so I don't have to worry about anything scratching the glass screen. The sleeve is very easy to remove, too, which is handy when I'm at airport security and have to extract my iPad from its case and turn it on.

The sleeve comes in four different color schemes. I tested the black olive/madder brown model. I like that it has a neat sheen to it rather than the usual flat color of neoprene. Since I travel a lot, I'm glad that the Keen Harvest II iPad Sleeve can be quickly washed by hand in soapy water.

Eco Creds: repurposed material.

Bottom Line: An excellent way to keep my iPad looking her best! And, at $15, the Keen Harvest II iPad sleeve is a good deal compared to so many pricey accessories.--N.S. (March 2011)
