Kavu Sea Breeze Pullover

Sometimes, I don't get to go exactly where I would like--and my outdoorsy clothes don't either. So today, instead of, say, hiking in New Zealand's Abel Tasman national park, or surfing in Baja, I was at Trader Joe's, forgetting things on my shopping list. Then walking the dogs down the same block we walk every day, then sitting in front of the computer.

I guess one of the joys of cute outdoor products--like Kavu's Sea Breeze Pullover, which accompanied me on my less-than-adventurous day--is that at least you feel like you're setting off for an adventure, even if you're just picking up dog poop. This pullover--a short-sleeve hoodie with a kangaroo pocket--was perfect over a T-shirt on a sunny, breezy day.   (You could also wear the hoodie, with its plunging V-neck, over a bathing suit on a surf trip, and maybe keep some wax in the pocket, rather than dog bags).  

One of the other joys of this particular shirt is the soft fabric--it feels like your favorite T-shirt from high school (the one your mother threw away and then you rescued from the trash), while being made from eco-friendly fabrics--mostly a combination of soy protein fibers and organic cotton.   So while maybe I didn't feel like a globetrotter today, at least I felt somewhat sustainable--and well-dressed, too.
