Jungmaven Hemp T-Shirts for men and women
Just about the only time I’m not wearing a t-shirt is when I’m in the shower. For every other activity, I have a favorite t-shirt. Currently, I’m loving a super soft, silky tee by Jungmaven. The top is made out of a 60/40 blend of hemp viscose and organic cotton. If you think hemp is just for hippies, think again. This t-shirt is nothing like the thick hemp pants you’ve seen at art fairs. It’s soft and supple, body-hugging, and cut nice and long through the torso. The women’s version that I tested also has sweet short—almost capped—sleeves. The men’s version has a boxier cut. (See photo below.)
It’s the ideal base layer because it feels great against my skin and I can tuck it in. The material is quite thin, so it’s comfortable in warm temps and it dries quickly after washing. I often end up wearing it as a pajama top because I love the softness. It’s also great in cool temps under a button-down top or lightweight jacket. Eco Creds: contains organic cotton, hemp requires much less water to grow than cotton. Available in men's and women's sizes and in a variety of colors. Bottom Line: I’m always looking for good t-shirts, and I’ve found a real peach in Jungmaven’s silky soft Hemp T-Shirt.--E.D. (March 2011) BUY ONLINE: $26 (womens), 28 (men's), click to shop.
