Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defying Solutions : Simple, Light, Effective

Juice Beauty products have changed my skin, and I'm grateful for that. Still, when I had the chance to review their Age Defying Solutions kit (for mature/combination skin) I was concerned that it might not work for me since I was so used to using some of their other face potions and lotions.

I need not have worried. This kit has been just as effective and helpful as my other Juice Beauty and Juice Organics products.

First, I like that the regimen is based on moisturizing my skin. No toners in this kit. I also appreciate that the products contain certified organic ingredients and antioxidants from fruit juices such as apple and lemon. The Green Apply Age Defying Solutions kit is designed to "brighten and refine" skin. It does this by using hydroxy acids to exfoliate dead skin cells and by using a variety of fruit juices, fatty acids, co-enzyme Q10, vitamin C, and other healthy ingredients to hydrate and moisturize the skin. All good.

Since I already use Juice Organics PomWash and Moisturizer in the morning, I use the Green Apple kit in the evenings. I apply the Green Apple Cleansing Gel with a small face brush, pat my face dry with a towel, then apply the Antioxidant Serum. It goes on very dry, which I like. I can't stand my face feeling greasy. Next, the Green Apple Antioxidant moisturizer. Again, it's absorbed quickly and leaves my face feeling soft and clean. When I use this system during the day, I use the Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturizer instead.

What I like about this combo is that I can go several hours before I need to pat down the thin layer of oil that inevitably starts to cover my skin. When I use it at night, I'm always happy to wake up with a soft, dry face. I was worried that using a moisturizing system would leave my face oily, but the opposite is true. Now that my face is adequately hydrated, my skin stays drier longer and never looks shiny.

Finally, when I'm feeling like my skin needs a pick-me-up, usually about the time I start getting a PMS breakout, I use the Green Apple Peel mask to purify my face. I like that the mask doesn't change consistency on my face (i.e., turn into a tight, crusty mask) but just does its thing for a few minutes before I wipe it off with a damp cloth. Naturally, I moisturize afterward.

I've been using both Juice Beauty and Juice Organic products for more than a year and my skin has never looked better. I like that they're simple. I only have to use a tiny amount of each product, so the kit has lasted for long time, and I can't discern a strong scent in any of the products. I like that.

Bottom Line: This kit is a great way to try out the system and see if it works for you. Full-sized bottles are available for individual sale. For now, I love the kit because most of the bottles are travel size.--E.D. (Jan 10)
