John Patrick Organic Roll Edge Tank : So Sweet it Could Almost Come Between Two Friends

At first "blush," I was filled with jealousy when I opened up the package from Organic by John Patrick.

There, wrapped in pretty tissues was the super soft Roll Edge Tank, with a matching scarf underneath. Both made out of a stretchy, ultra lightweight organic cotton knit. Both 100% cotton - no Lycra necessary. Both elegant and confectionary sweet. Only one problem, the tank was a size small -- which meant that I wouldn't be wear testing this adorable spring/summer wardrobe staple.

Enter Kamie, my beautiful extra-small sized friend who just slipped on the tank right there in my living room and looked gorgeous. So, I parted with the tank, but I kept the scarf (despite the fact that the two are meant to be worn together), which you can read about here. For her part, Kamie took the top and ran with it....

She washed it before taking it out on the town, and, to my horror, put it in the dryer. "That's not very eco," I emailed her. The top came out just fine, but I'm a stickler for following the washing instruction labels in garments. Anyway, Kamie loves the top and here's what says about her first date with it,

"I slipped on my Roll Edge Tank, zipped up my skinnies, tied on my pink Pumas, threw on a pashmina and track jacket, and headed out the door for my morning walk. If I didn't know better, I would have thought that I forgot to put on the tank. It was so soft, I could have sworn I was naked underneath my jacket. Really. The tank is that airy.

The rest of my day was all about running around tying up loose ends that always seem to pop up near the end of the week, but I managed to hang on to that yummy soft organic cotton naked-underneath feeling.

The Roll Edge Tank may feel like nothing, but it cuts quite a figure. My figure! I love the long length, which makes it a perfect match with jeans. It's almost long enough to wear as a tank dress. In fact, at home, that's how I often wear it.

Got home the other day after a too-long day, and made dinner for my family. I was so tired afterward I ditched my shoes and jeans, then hit the couch to ponder what was wrong with everyone else's lives while flipping through US magazine. I was so relaxed I floated into a dreamy organic sleep thanks to my soft blush-colored tank from Organic by John Patrick.
