Organic by John Patrick Scarf : Wrap up in a Whisper

Anyone who knows me knows that I don't blush easily. I also don't wear pale-colored clothing. (My urban look demands shades of black and grey!) Still, when Organic by John Patrick sent me a sweet, ultra soft organic cotton tank and matching scarf in Blush I wasn't about to miss out.

First of all, I recognized instantly that Blush goes really well with dark grey, specifically a dark grey tank dress I had received a few days earlier. Second... this fancy sari-sized scarf (it's almost five feet long and three feet wide) is also a wrap, a shawl, a cover, and even a blanket! I'm all about the street, but I wasn't about to pass up on a chance to cuddle up to such a lovely all-purpose accessory.

The tank and scarf were meant to be worn together, but the minute I opened the box I knew the tank (size small) would never fit me. It was an easy fix; I passed on the top to another tester and kept the scarf for myself (because I'm the boss of this web site and can do whatever I want!).

I wore the scarf for the rest of the day while writing. I wore the scarf that evening while I watched three movies on cable. I wore the scarf the next morning when I got up because it was chilly in my apartment. I wore the scarf around my shoulders when I went for a stroll around the block that evening. I wore the scarf on my vacation last month. And so on.

What makes this scarf stand out from the others (that I never wear anymore) is the material. It's so soft and sheer - like my favorite worn-out rock concert tee but not worn-out. The fabric is luxurious and comforting against my skin.

What makes this scarf my go-to shawl and neck warmer is also the material. Because it's made out of cotton I can wash it by hand or throw it in my washing machine on delicate. I just hang it on a rack at night, and it's dry when I wake up.
