Innate Mizu Water Bottle : Make the Change
Like many, I've been concerned with the plastic water bottles I've been using and searching for other options. Enter Innate, a Canadian company that makes water bottles and food storage products out of food-grade stainless steel. I like Innate's Mizu water bottle the best. It has a sleek profile that's feels good in my hand and makes multi-tasking easy. I can hydrate and talk to a friend on the phone while I go down to check out the surf. The flip-top lid seals up tight to prevent spills (although the loop on the lid takes a bit of getting used to--I had to rotate the spout to the side to prevent from bonking my nose with it). Several lid options are available, including solid lids and pop-tops (like the pull-open spouts on a standard bike water bottle, except made from harder plastic). The collar, or rim, of the bottle is made of polypropylene, meaning that my mouth doesn't get cold when I'm drinking on a snowy day. These bottles are also designed to work with many backcountry water filters, so I could fill my bottle right from the stream on my next camping trip. Size: 26 fluid ounces, weight 7.7 ounces Colors available: Stainless/Black, Stainless/Navy, Black/Black, Razzberry Red/Black, Flow/Navy/Navy, Polar Bear/Cream/Navy, Orca & Salmon/Storm Blue/Navy Eco Creds: Bottle: food-grade stainless steel, BPA-free; collar and lid: food-grade polypropylene Bottom Line: Sleek, sporty, and BPA-free--a water bottle you can use.--C.W.
