Holy Cow Organic Cotton Tee :
It's Heavenly
The minute I saw the red Holy Cow poster bearing the cute halo-wearing white cow, I wanted the t-shirt.
When I found out that the Holy Cow Company was based in Minnesota, my adopted home state, and made out of organic cotton, I really wanted the t-shirt.
I opted for a men's tee because I wanted a boxy, baggy fit. I planned on wearing it with my baggy jeans as often as possible. I love the soft material and traditional crew neck t-shirt design--just like the t-shirts I wore in the 70s and 80s. Not quite a "Beefy Tee," but not a super thin tee either.
I also really like the shade of red. It's not red, white, and blue red, but a more washed out, softer red.
Naturally, the Holy Cow Company has a variety of organic tees and accessories with eco-friendly messages, such as the Peace on Earth tee, the Green Means Go tee, the Be The Change Tee. For women: Bee Green, Recycle Love, and All Natural Chick.
I like that they print the care instructions inside the tee rather than attach a label. I also like that I can wash and wash and wash this tee and it still looks great. Most of all, I love the feel of the cotton and knowing that I'm wearing a pesticide-free garment. One more thing -- I also really like it when people walk up to me and say, "Where'd you get that t-shirt?"
Here are their eco creds: Member of One Percent for The Planet, Organic Trade Association, Co-op America, Renewable Choice Energy. Uses organic cotton. In their own words:
"Holy Cow is committed to organic farming and working with supply chain partners that are meeting or exceeding the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)."
Sizes: Men's, women's, and toddler sizes, variety of colors and designs.
Bottom Line : Fun, planet-friendly tees for the whole family. Nice..--E.D. (July 09)
