Haiku Rumi Pouch : An Eco-Friendly Wallet Purse

Haiku's Rumi Pouch is exactly what I didn't know I needed--a wallet with benefits.

I'm the type of person who likes to make things harder on myself by grabbing just my wallet and cell phone when I run into a store rather than taking my purse. Then, I end up walking around juggling my wallet, cell phone, keys, and the items I'm buying, which only makes me feel like a klutz. The Rumi pouch gives gives me the carrying comfort of a purse in a wallet-sized bag. Like!

Haiku's Rumi Pouch is also great for outings like power walks where I need to keep my essentials close but don't want to mess around with a waist pack or backpack. I can carry/wear the Rumi Pouch three ways, so it's always easy to use.

I can carry the pouch in my hand or wrap the removable wrist strap around my wrist; I can carry the pouch over my shoulder, messenger-bag style; or I can wrap the removable, adjustable shoulder strap around my waist. I like that it doesn't get in my way when I'm walking. Also, when I use the wrist strap, I can have both hands free when I'm at the local farmer's market shopping for my veggies. I appreciate having all these options.

The Rumi Pouch has three zippered pockets and a cell phone sleeve. I have an iPhone 4 with a fairly thick rubber case around it, and it still fits easily into the cell phone sleeve. The sleeve has elastic on the sides so it's slightly expandable to accommodate phones in protective cases. I like that the sleeve has a strap that affixes to the front of the pouch with a Velcro-like seal to hold my phone securely in place while also keeping it easily accessible. Bonus!

This handy, lightweight pouch has lots of places to stash things. There's a zippered coin purse, with a divider in the middle so I can use one side for money and the other for a lip balm. Inside the main zippered compartment, there are several flat pockets on one side for credit cards (including a clear slot for my driver's licences) and two flat sleeve-like pockets on the other side for business cards ,bills, receipts, etc.

The Rumi Pouch is a very eco-friendly product made from recycled plastic bottles. The fabric feels like ballistic canvas but is also smooth and has a light sheen to it. It's easy to clean with a rag and warm water.

The pouch comes in three fun, cheerful designs. One style features two bright purple flowers on the front of the pouch; the second style has a design of green grass surrounding two small flowers. The third style has an fabric flower attached to the front of the pouch.
