The Green Glass Company Drinking Glasses
Too many things in life are complicated, so it's nice to find a company like The Green Glass Company that keeps it simple. They buy used soda and beer bottles and turn them into drinking glasses! It's a great way to recycle the bottles and create fun beverage glasses. Because the texture and design of different brands varies, the bottles become unique glasses. Some of the glasses are squat, some (like the Sol glasses that I've been using) are longer and more slender, and all of them still bear the various logos that make them stand out.
The drinking glasses are colorful and fun to use. They're also the perfect size for juice or water. Because I like using these glasses so much I've actually been drinking more water, and I can keep track of how well I'm measuring up to the eight-glasses-a-day recommendation. I also like using these colorful glasses when i have friends over; everyone likes them! I've been putting these glasses in the dishwasher and washing them by hand for months, and they still look new. The Green Glass Company also makes vases, candle holders, and other glass wares. Shop for Green Glass Company items on their site (see link below) or at Nubius Organics. Eco Creds: Made out of repurposed glass bottles. Bottom Line: Durable, attractive, and eco. I'll drink to that.--E.D. (June '10) Price: $32.50/ for 4, shop at Nubius Organics.
