English Retreads Seat Belt : Buckle Up

I'm not much of an accessory person, but my very style-conscious friend once told me, "If your pants have belt loops, wear a belt." And if I'm going to wear a belt it might as well be vegan and eco! Enter the English Retreads Seat Belt.

Made out of reclaimed bicycle inner tubes and lined with recycled PET fabric (which is made out of recycled plastic bottles), this fun unisex belt does a fine job of holding up my pants and my style creds!

The Seat Belt reminds me of a chunky leather belt I wore in the 70's, but it's lighter and more pliable becuase it's rubber. It's 1.5 inches wide and less clunky than my old belt, which I like because it fits easily through my belt loops. The punched-out circle pattern on the belt allows the contrast colored lining to show through. It's a nice effect and gives the belt more character than all those other plain old black belts. I wear it all the time with my favorate Loomstate jeans and tee.

The belt is constructed out of three panels of rubber, so it's both felxible and strong. I like the metal English Retreads logo that's attached to the belt near the buckle--just because it looks cool!

I've been wearing this belt around for months, and so far, all of the metal grommets are still very much intact!
