English Retreads Hybrid Bag : Add a Little Zoom to Your Wardrobe

Leather handbags play a key role in my my wardrobe, so when I was asked to test drive a purse made out of rubber my top concerns were: will it hold up as well as leather, and will it still make a fashion statement.

When the English Retreads Hybrid bag arrived, I was happy to notice the coincidence that the pumpkin/black purse matched both my little economy car and the rain boots I live in during Spring. So, right off the bat, I felt that running errands would be more fun with my new bag.

As far as function goes....I like that the wide mouth on this bag stays open, making it easy to transfer my wallet deep into the bag. My business cards and lip gloss fit neatly into one of the two elasticized interior pockets, and my cell phone slides easily into the other.The Hybrid has plenty of room for my essentials!

I hate it when I can't find my keys, so I really appreciate that English Retreads knows something about what women need in a purse. My favorite feature :a utility ring at the top of the bag to which I can clip and secure my keys. I wish all my bags had one.

Love the style of this fun bag - the shape, frame, and wide mouth hinge all remind me of an old-fashioned doctor's bag. It's also plenty durable. After all, it's made out of proven materials that are still serving a useful purpose. The black parts of the bag are made from used bicycle inner tubes, and the material on the colored panels is made out of recycled plastic bottles. I like the nubs and rubber on the bottom of the bag - I feel like I can set down my Hyrbid anywhere and the contents of my bag stay dry and protected.
