Elemental Herbs Certified Organic Lip Balm: Kiss Me.

It doesn't matter where I am or what season is reigning, I always seem to have chapped lips. It drives me nuts. It also drives me nuts that I always lose my favorite lip balm sticks.

I've been using Elemental Herbs Certified Lip Balm for a month now, and my lips are getting pretty kissable-- just in time for a summer romance. (So far my summer romance has been with Elemental H's products...but I'm sure a nice man will come along soon.)

So, this all organic balm contains: organic calendula, comfrey, lavender, plantain, and yarrow, infused in organic extra virgin olive oil, organic beeswax, vitamin E, and more.

It's a perfect balance of natural oil and beeswax, so the balm goes on smooth and never feels waxy. The most noticeable scent is lavender, which I love. I believe what I've read about essential oils -- that just smelling them can have therapeutic benefits. Every time I apply some balm, I get a bouquet of lavender under my nose, and a clean, smooth feeling on my lips.

This balm is never sticky or greasy or dried up. It's the perfect consistency, and because I love the smell and feel of it, I seem to apply it more often. (I'm also so hot here in the midwest temps that I've drinking lots and lots of water). The result - my lips are getting the regular attention they deserve. And, I keep it in my stash pockets on my new fav day pack, so I have not lost it once.

Now, I just need to meet a nice guy to help me test the "kissably soft" quotient. Will get back to you on that.

Eco Creds: organic ingredients, 1% For The Planet, bottles are recyclable, tested on humans, certified organic by Oregon Tilth.

Bottom Line: Yummy, healthy, organic - it's the perfect balm for all seasons.--E.D.

"If 10 percent of U.S. households made a onetime purchase of lotion bottle without an attached pump, the plastic saved would be an estimated 250,000 pounds--enough lotion pumps to fill nearly 1,200 tanning booths from floor to ceiling."
