Dr. Hauschka Clarifying Toner : Step Two for a Soft, Clean Face
If you haven't already read the review of Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream, please do so now becuase the Clarifying Toner is the second step in a soothing, restorative skin care process that I use every day. In the past, most skin care systems I've used include some type of cleanser, a toner (that's alcohol based and leaves my skin totally dry--at least immediately after use--then, because the toner actually strips my skin of it's natural oils, my face is all oily not long after), and a moisturizer. Since I tend to have oily skin and am prone to breakouts during my special time of the month, I started using Dr. Hauschka's Clarifying Toner (Dr. H also makes Facial Toner for dry, sensitive, and normal skin). Although the Clarifying Toner contains some alcohol, it's filled with more than a dozen flower extracts that work together to soothe my skin, calming the redness I cause myself by trying to manually rid myself of blemishes. The toner also helps balance the natural oils in my skin, so I don't have a shiny face an hour after leaving the house. I can go out for an afternoon or evening (or longer) and come home -- and my face isn't shiny. I've never had that experience before -- a face care system that cares for my face for hours and hours. Another bonus - the toner helps shrink my pores - so nobody has to know that I'm having skin issues because my Dr. H products pretty much gets my skin in shape to face the day. As instructed, after washing with the Cleansing Cream, I spritz my face with the toner, then gently pat it down. I love the cooling spray, and I feel sort of fancy spritzing myself. I also love that all of this takes only minutes. Next step, Normalizing Day Oil...click to finish reading about my daily face care system. Bottom Line: Dr. Hauschka isn't just about cleaning your skin---it's about caring for your skin. I'm amazed at the difference it's made with my skin problems. I also appreciate that this product comes in a glass bottle--which I can recycle when I need to resupply (the 3.4 ounce bottle lasts a long time).--E.D.
