Collective Wellbeing Foot Butter and Buffing Bar for Feet

When I was in my 20s, foot creams seemed pretty silly.  Why on earth would I need a special cream for my feet?  Why couldn’t I just use the same cream I use for my hands?  Well, I’m older and wiser now,, and, living in the cold, dry Rocky Mountains means my feet can get pretty scaly and rough.  Sometimes the skin even cracks.  My feet need some serious care!

I’ve purchased foot creams from drugstores and supermarkets, and have even tried to use Neosporin and white socks when the cracks have been particularly bad.  Each item worked, sort of, but never with a lasting effect. And yes, I have employed a pumice stone regularly, but sometimes its intensity freaks me out.  It really puts my teeth on edge.

I learned the hard way that hard-core products are not the answer, but seriously rich and creamy is! I’ve been using Collective Wellbeing’s Foot Butter and Buffing Bar with pleasure for the past several weeks!  The butter contains both Illipe nut and shea butters, which help restore elasticity to the skin.  The butter also contains a sweetly soothing combination of cardamom, mint, and Tea Tree oils, which all have antiseptic properties to keep my feet feeling fresh.  I like that the Foot Butter isn’t greasy and absorbs nicely.  I can use it without socks at night and not get my sheets goopy. I also like the clean scent.

The Buffing Bar for Feet isn’t a replacement for a pumice stone, but a very nice alternative because it’s gentler. It contains some ground pumice and walnut shells in a vegetable oil base that lightly lathers while scrubbing away the dry, dead skin and gross bits. I have been using it in the shower for weeks and it works. I really like the gentle exfoliation; I can handle using the Buffing Bar on a daily basis. The mint and lemongrass oils smell fantastic.  I like the bar so much that I also use it on my body to get the grime off after a dusty bike ride or a day in the garden.

Eco Creds: paraben-free products, highly concentrated, contains organic ingredients, member of 1% for the Planet, and Zero Carbon company.

Bottom Line: It’s the real deal made from safe, effective ingredients.  I’m sold.—S.W. (June 2011)
