Collective Wellbeing Enemy of Frizz
It’s hard being a chemically sensitive gal when it comes to shopping for hair care products. Everything has a fragrance, and most of the time the fragrance is synthetic. Bummer for me. But I didn’t give up; I kept on searching for natural hair care products and discovered Collective Wellbeing, an earth-friendly body care company that’s committed to making natural products and protecting the planet! My hair is a mess, and I never know what to do with it. Most days, all I need is some leave-in conditioner for a bit of hold that helps my thick, dry floppy hair behave. I like to just throw some product in my hair and go, for a natural look. I don’t even own a blow dryer or brush (or a comb for that matter!). And I can’t stand having waxy styling products in my hair. Collective Wellbeing’s Enemy of Frizz has been a great product for me. It’s light and has the same consistency of many of the other leave-in conditioners I’ve used in the past. My hair never feels hard or crusty, or oily or waxy. Once my hair is dry it looks and feels soft and natural; I like that! Basically, Enemy of Frizz calms the frizzies, adds a bit of shine and moisture to my hair, but doesn’t seem to leave visible residue. I don’t believe this product is labeled as “fragrance-free,” but whatever scent it has is almost unnoticeable and all natural. Enemy of Frizz contains illipe nut butter, which is similar to cocoa and shea butters; it provides a natural hold. When I want more shine and less hold, I use Collective Wellbeing’s Partner in Shine. Both are available in 3.5 ounce bottles. Eco Creds: product contains certified organic oils and plant extracts per a USDA accredited agency, packaging is recyclable, company is carbon neutral, and donates to 1% for the Planet. Bottom Line: I’ve been very happy with my Collective Wellbeing products. I like using natural, organic products, and I like that Collective Wellbeing has made a commitment to operating a carbon neutral company.--E.D. (May 2011) Buy Online: $12.50, click to shop.
