ChicoBag Bottle Sling rePETe™ : Keep Your Water Close

It's called the Bottle Sling, but really, it should be called the Anything-The-Size-Of-A-Water-Bottle-Or-Smaller Sling!

Yes, it works great with water bottles, but why stop there? I've used it as a small bag when dashing across the street to the coffee shop; it's just the right size for a rolled up magazine. It also has a stretchy little pocket with a protective flap on the front, perfect for my iPod, cell phone, or keys.

I wear the Bottle Sling rePETe™ when I'm working outdoors or talking a walk so I can always have water on hand. The bag is designed to carry a Kleen Kanteen bottle, but I've used it with a variety of stainless steel (and other) water bottles. I'm looking forward to using my Bottle Sling for summer hikes.

I just realized that because it's so lightweight and unobtrusive, it would be perfect for stashing my keys and cash when I go out dancing. It even has two almost hidden tiny pockets on the strap--one for a lip balm and the other for a pair of chopsticks (at least, that's how they fill the pockets in their web site photo - I use the chopstick pocket to carry a pen.)

Made out of durable, almost entirely recycled materials, the ChicoBag Bottle Sling rePETe™ weighs almost nothing when empty and, like other ChicoBag products, folds easily into it's own little drawstring carrier pouch when not in use. It's so small that I can hook it to my belt or to the strap of another bag with the tiny carabineer attached to the outside of the pouch and not even notice it.

The Bottle Sling is ultra simple; there's nothing "extra" added. The strap is nice and strong and seems to be just the right length. I wear it messenger bag-style, over my opposite shoulder, and the bag hits right at my hip.

Here's an impressive detail about this bag - it's made out of five recycled plastic bottles. I get to be eco with a totally reusable product that also helps me not use more plastic!
